“VOICES OF FRIENDS” ALMANAS OF POETRY will allow not only to declare your work to the world in English, but also to perpetuate the memory of people close to you, significant historical dates or homeland as part of world history and literature. The idea of the Almanac appeared in 1960. Soviet writer Konstantin Simonov published a collection of translations of the Voice of Friends, which included poems from poets of Uzbekistan. After 60 years, we decided not only to revive this wonderful idea, but also to give it a new sound.
The Almanac is unique in that it will be published in a diary – calendar format and will be divided into 365 calendar days, where each page will be allocated 1 page. You have the opportunity to devote your work to Victory Day – May 9, or the anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev.
100 pages of the Almanac are specially reserved exclusively for the publication of classic poems. But what kind of classics will be placed on the pages of the almanac? It’s up to you. To do this, you need to support our project on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
The Almanac will be a great gift for an anniversary, birthday, both to those close to you, and at the public and state level. Each author can choose up to 6 calendar days (6 pages).
The almanac will be published in the UK by Hertfordshire Press. Mandatory copies will be sent to the British Library and to the Legal deposit – the repository of copyright copies. The almanac will be available on Amazon and in other online stores around the world.
