On 17th November at 18:00 at the ABF Stockholm will take place the opening ceremony of the VI International Literary festival Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum – 2017.
This year, in the period from 17th to 20th November the Eurasian Creative Guild in cooperation with the publishing house Hertfordshire Press conducts annual Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum in Stockholm, Sweden. The organizers of the festival Eurasian Creative Guild and Hertfordshire Press, give participants of the Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum a unique opportunity to present their works to the Swedish reader. The organization of the event in Sweden is very symbolic, as the work of the Eurasian authors will be presented in the Nordic region for the first time in the history of the festival .
Today, 17 November at 18:00 at the ABF Stockholm will held the solemn ceremony of the opening of the VI International Literary festival OEBF-2017. The official part of the event will be performed by David Perry (Chairman of the Eurasian Creative Guild), Marat Akhmedjanov (Hertfordshire Press), Alexey Poplavsky (Embassy of the Republic of Belarus), Ludmila Klimenkova (Embassy of the Russian Federation). The event will also feature musicians from Central Asia and will host an art exhibition by artists from Kazakhstan.
In the framework of the opening ceremony of the festival the names of winners of the Open Eurasia-2017 will be announced . The grand conclusion of the evening will be the announcement of the winners of the contest Open Eurasia in the categories: Literature, Illustration, Translation and Videofilm. The total prize fund of the festival this year is $29 000, and also the main prize – a grant for the translation and publication of their book in English in London.
The festival Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum is one of the projects of the Eurasian Creative Guild in cooperation with the publishing house Hertfordshire Press. The aim of the festival OEBF is to draw the attention of readers and experts on past and present achievements of the Eurasian creative individuals to acquaint writers with the representatives of publishing houses, with their readers, libraries, educational institutions, mass media, promote the development of multilateral dialogue between writers, critics, editors, publishers. The festival Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum aims to bring together authors, belonging to different creative trends, and intended to revive interest in literature and creativity. The festival Open Eurasian Book Forum & Literature Festival contributes to the union of the whole Eurasian region, helping authors to prove themselves, to show their work around the world, and readers to learn about authors who in future will become as famous as Shakespeare, Pushkin, Akhmatova, Tolstoy and Dostoevsky.
