London has heard the Poetry of Belarusian classics in their native language

Many outstanding personalities in Belarus created their literature works in Belarusian language and were not afraid to speak, write in their native language, which is an indicator of patriotism and a sincere desire to hold the position of Belarusian culture in the world. Natives of Belarus around the world reverently keep the memory of famous countrymens outside their historical homeland.

The Hertfordshire Press publishing house (Great Britain) with the support of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (EBRD) and the participation of Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum has published a unique collection of poems by Belarusian poets: Yakub Kolas, Yanka Kupala and Maxim Bagdanovich in translations of the talented Vera Rich – entitled: “A POETIC TREASURY FROM BELARUS: A celebration of the life and work of Vera Rich. ” The book provides both options: the original verses in Belarusian language and the skillful translation of Vera in English.

The book is dedicated to the memory of Vera Rich and published with the participation of experts such as  Jim Dingley, David Parry i Prof. V. Rahoisha. Book presentations took place in London, Brussels and Minsk in November 2019 – March 2020.
