Today, on the 3rd of June 2020, the Eurasian Creative Guild held the 9th zoom-meeting on the topic of “Comics as a part of modern culture: superheroes in art”. We thank Timur Akhmejanov who moderated this meeting. 30 people from different countries joined this online-meeting today.
As always, the meeting was opened by the vice president of the Eurasian Creative Guild Marat Akhmejanov. He talked about the current activity and planned projects of the guild.
Next, the presentation was handed over to the author of the ‘Elish and the Wicker Tale’ comic book Timur Akhmejanov. Timur discussed the importance of superheroes in the modern world and presented some examples of what messages are transferred through popular comics and how they can educate children.
After that, our invited speakers presented their speeches. We thank Daria Babushyak, Gulsifat Shakhdi, Aidar Batalov, Mikhail Ananov and Lyudmila Semiletenko for interesting presentations on the theme of comics and superheroes in movies and life. We also thank the youngest speaker – Akbar Sidikov – for his touching and inspirational story.
We also thank the members of the internship – Anna Lari, Anastasia Savelyeva, Iana Saveleva, Bozhena Krasnogir and Tatiana Shevchenko – for their fantastic presentations which immersed us into the history of comics and the role of superheroes in specific countries and worldwide.
Finally, the members of the internship presented their video-greetings to the vice president of the Eurasian Creative Guild Marat Akhmejanov who celebrates his 44th Birthday today!
