As members of the International Public Association “Generals of the World for Peace” have rightly remarked, in the face of challenges looming over humanity and threats to the stabilization of international security, we must unite in our search for solutions to preserve peace on Earth. This is particularly pertinent in a year in which the impact of the coevid19 pandemic has left no nation untouched and recent tragic events in the USA have heightened awareness of racial intolerance.
Writers have much to contribute and hence, the “Open Eurasia” competition, established by the Eurasian Creative Guild (London), will award for the nineth year, a prize from the NGO Generals of the World for Peace for work dedicated to peace, friendship and the strengthening of mutual understanding between people of different nationalities and cultures.
The winner of the competition, to be announced this autumn at the Open Eurasian Literary Festival and Book Forum 2020, in Madrid, will receive a handsome prize and a much-coveted Peace Dove medal.
In recognition of the commitment and response of medics to dealing the pandemic, the competition’s organising partners will also present a second medal for a work dedicated to the heroism of doctors!
